Yes, when purchasing any of the Veeam Data Platform editions, backup and recovery capabilities for AWS, Azure and Google are included for full hybrid-cloud data protection capability. Veeam Data Platform is purpose built to support Cloud, Virtual and Physical workloads on premises and in the cloud and offers many benefits of centrally managing your complete hybrid and multi-cloud environment. If you only need for protection for a single cloud, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud without hybrid-cloud capability, standalone offerings are available.
Veeam Data Platform is licensed with the Veeam Universal License (VUL), which offers license portability for universal use on premises as well as across any of the supported public cloud providers. This provides users with the added element of portability, which makes the jump to cloud and hybrid environments even easier without additional cloud fees.
Veeam Backup for M365, Veeam Backup for Salesforce and Kasten K10 by Veeam are separate standalone offerings that are each purchased and licensed separately. Licenses for Veeam Data Platform cannot be used for M365, Salesforce or Kasten and vice versa.
Veeam Data Platform is licensed per supported workload. A workload can be a virtual machine (VM), physical server, cloud VM, enterprise application, NAS file share and more. With VUL, customers can use their licenses to protect any workload, since the licenses are portable. Most workloads require just one license instance- Virtual Machine - 1 license- Cloud Virtual Machine - 1 license- Enterprise application - 1 license- NAS/File Share - 1 license per 500GB capacity- Workstation - 1 license protects 3 workstations/endpoints- VUL licenses are sold in minimum quantities of 10 licenses. If the minimum purchase requirement of 10 licenses is a barrier, we suggest trying Veeam Data Platform Essentials™, which is sold in 5 license bundles, up to a maximum of 50 workloads for small business needs.
